DUSAN RADIVOJEVIC NAMED TECH MALE
ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
RUSSELLVILLE, Arkansas – Arkansas Tech has
named junior forward Dusan Radivojevic (Belgrade,
Serbia)
as this week's Male Student-Athlete of the Week.
Radivojevic, who is a member of the Wonder Boys
Basketball team, earns this week's honor after helping
the Wonder Boys go 1-1 last week in Gulf South
Conference action. Tech opened the week with a 71-61
home win over Ouachita Baptist on Jan. 22 and then Tech
fell 85-79 in overtime on Jan. 24 at Delta State.
Radivojevic, who is a 6-foot-7 forward, has been a
valuable contributor off the bench for the Wonder Boys
this season. For the week, Radivojevic averaged 13.5
points per game and shot 56 percent from the field and
55 percent from the three-point line. In the win over
OBU, Radivojevic scored 15 points and was 6-for-10 from
the field and 3-for-4 from the 3-point line and then he
scored 12 points and was 4-for-8 from the field and
3-for-7 from long distance. Over his last four game,
Radivojevic has made 24 of his 37 (64.9 percent)
three-point attempts.
On the season, Radivojevic, who is a transfer from
Bowling Green State University, is averaging 9.1 points
and 2.3 rebounds per game and he is shooting 54 percent
from the field and 46 percent from long distance. In
addition, he is shooting 73 percent from the free throw
line and has had seven double-digit scoring efforts,
including reaching double figures over his last four
games.

Why did you
ultimately choose to come to Tech?
Dusan Radivojevic: To do everything
which is necessary to help Tech win
basketball games and to also get my degree.
Outside of athletics, what is your favorite
thing about college life?
DR: I like interacting with people on
campus.
What is your favorite type of music/group?
DR: I like rap and hip-hop, along with
Serbian music.
What do you consider your hobby?
DR: I like photography/videography.
What sport other than basketball do you like
to watch or would you like to play the most?
DR: I like soccer and volleyball.
Who is one person that has had the biggest
impact on your life?
DR: I would have to say my older brother,
Voja.
What is your most memorable moment as a Tech
athlete?
DR: My first day on campus.
What would you do on your dream vacation?
DR: I would enjoy myself and travel a lot.
What is your major at Tech?
DR: I am a broadcast journalism major.
What do you plan to do after graduation?
DR: I would like to work on obtaining my
master's degree.
Do you have a pet?
DR: I don't have a pet.
How many times a day do you find yourself
checking facebook?
DR: I check it a lot...every time I have a
chance.
What's been the most rewarding class you
have had while being at Tech?
DR: I've liked my broadcast practicums with
Mr. Caton and Mr. Cotton.
What are your goals for this season?
DR: I would like to win the GSC title and
qualify for the NCAA Tournament. |
