GOLDEN SUNS SOFTBALL ANNOUNCES DATES AND TIMES FOR ITS
FOURTH-ANNUAL HALLOWEEN HAUNTED HOUSE
RUSSELLVILLE,
Arkansas –
Arkansas
Tech Head Softball coach Gidget Pambianchi has
announced that her team will be holding a Home Run Derby
Contest as a fundraiser on October 5 beginning at 5 p.m.
at the Chartwells Women’s Sports Complex.
The event, which is open to anyone, will cost $1.00 per
swing, but you will need to pay at least $5.00 to have a
chance to be crowned as a champion. The contestants will
try and hit a home run off of former Golden Suns pitcher
and current graduate assistant coach Dana Aldrich.
Aldrich was named the Gulf South Conference’s Player and
Pitcher of the Year as a senior in 2008.
“This should be a fun event and is open to anyone. You
don’t need to have any softball playing experience to
participate,” Pambianchi said.
The Golden Suns are the two-time defending GSC West
Division champions and have posted a combined record of
83-48 over the past two years and have played in the
championship round of the GSC Tournament in each of the
last two seasons.
