TECH VOLLEYBALL TO CONDUCT AN OPEN TRYOUT ON SATURDAY
AT THE HULL BUILDING

         RUSSELLVILLE, Arkansas – Arkansas Tech Golden Suns Volleyball Coach Kristy Bayer has announced that her program is conducting an open tryout for anyone interested in playing for the Golden Suns next season on Saturday, Dec. 6.

The tryout is open to anyone who is a current high school senior or current Tech students and is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. with registration at the Hull Building on the Tech campus. The tryout itself will begin at 10 a.m. and run until 12 p.m.

This past season, the Golden Suns finished with a 31-5 overall record and won its first Gulf South Conference West Division title since 2000. In addition, Bayer was named the GSC’s West Division Coach of the Year, libero Brennae Benda (Woodstock, Ill.) was named the GSC West Division Freshman of the Year and the Golden Suns had four All-Conference selections, including three first-team selections.
